Everlasting fear.. constant trepidation.
The life of a woman is a constant and vicious cycle of fear. The fear of the world. I do not mean those trivial fears of being accepted by society around or being popular or successful. It is that basic fear which is never absent from any woman's heart. The fear of not being secure or safe. In the complete physical sense. Hoping and praying that they never have to be victims of any sort of physical abuse. Even among the most trusted people, the fear is never fully gone. Wherever, whenever, they always have to be fully aware of their surroundings and try to keep themselves from any sort of harm. They are always having to defend themselves against the misdemeanour of creeps, who are out there to rob the woman of her piece of mind and sense of security. People might say that some incidents are not that big a deal if you compare with the horrendous act of rape or beatings. But only the woman knows that no offence is slight. Any of such episodes impacts her dignity, her sense of worth and most of all, her faith in mankind. But being a woman, its her basic nature to hope and to rekindle her faith in others. So she does that, she renews her faith and continues to be in fear. But our world being what it is, once again disappoints her. The day, when the world stops disappointing the woman, that would be the day when she is finally free, free from her constant state of fear.
